The Heart of My Practice

I practice Integrative Humanistic counselling, which combines two main approaches; Person Centered and Psychodynamic.

The person-centered methodology views you as the expert of your own life. By fostering an environment of unconditional positive regard and authentic connection, we work together to uncover the inner strengths that lead to lasting emotional well-being and self-actualization. My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate the complexities of your internal world.

Psychodynamic counselling explores how your past experiences, relationships and unconscious thoughts shape how you feel and behave today. By bringing these patterns into awareness in a safe, trusting relationship, it helps you understand yourself more deeply and create lasting emotional change

Your therapy journey will not fit neatly in to one style or the other, the two approaches will be woven throughout your process and our work together. This tailored approach adapts naturally to the content you bring each week and ensures you get what you need from each session.

Therapeutic Modalities

Psychodynamic Therapy

Exploring how your past experiences and unconscious patterns shape your current thoughts, feelings, and relationships, facilitating deep self-understanding.

Person Centered Therapy

Offering a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard and accepted. The journey follows your lead and your pace, uncovering who you are and supporting you to feel in control of your path.

We meet for the first time

We can meet In person or online. Our initial meeting offers space for you to voice whatever feels most relevant. It is natural if this hour feels intense or filled with complex emotions and new information. We move together at your speed; there is no perfect way to begin.

Free introductory call

This is usually around 15mins, we have a relaxed chat to get to know each other. We might discuss what has prompted you to get in touch, whether you'd like to work online or in-person, what times and days would work best for us. This call gives us both chance to understand what you'd like from therapy and to ask any questions you might have.
